Few Travel Tips for Women - Solo Travelers!

Hello everyone!~

I know I have been away for a couple of days. I have been very busy in my job and in my married life trying to work out things well. Today I am here to share you all with some travel tips specially for solo travelers and since I also did not travel alone yet this could be helpful for me too.

Recently there has been a huge increase in women traveling solo, both for to explore and for business. As a solo women, you are more approachable than a couple or a solo man. Solo travels is fun and challenging. For that you should prepare yourself with good information and positive attitude, and you will be more confident than ever before.

Here is how to make it happen before you go!

Do Some Researches

Do some researches where ever your destination is. Look for a good hotel from any website like Agoda, Booking.com or TripAdvisor. Search for a place where the area is safe from reviews. Always read others review before you make any bookings for a hotel. Contact those hotels and inquire about how safe is that hotel to avoid any difficulties.

Give someone back home your itinerary
Where ever you are traveling you should always inform to a trusted member of your family or a friend about the place that you are going, in case of something goes wrong or when they need to get in touch with you.

Make a checklist of everything you need

Passport, IDs, reservations, tickets etc. Make a checklist of anything that you will need on your journey in case you don't miss anything. Also it is better to take a picture of all of these documents and put them on a locked site like Dropbox that you can access from any computer. That way if you lose them and your computer or phone, you won't be totally screwed.

Pack Lightly
Always travel light, if possible, to protect against loss or theft of money and valuables. The ideal handbag or backpack is easy to carry. The best way to carry your bag is in front of you, close to your body.  Carry only items that are lightweight and that you can afford to lose.

Health and Safety
Dealing with health problem is probably the most difficult challenge. Purchasing a traveler's health insurance policy is a way to protect yourself from high cost of medical treatment in abroad. You could even get a list of recommended doctors and hospitals. Also don't hesitate to ask hotel or hotel manager for any help if you get sick.

Hope this helps!
